Artist Trading Cards or ATC
are miniature pieces of art, created by artists with the intent of trading
cards with other artist, sort of like swapping baseball cards. Artists
create their cards on miniature cardboard canvases, the same size as an
average sized playing card. In fact, I used playing cards, not blank
cardboard, when making the displayed cards.
I was experimenting with the process, and while my attempts are primitive,
they give you an idea of the possibilities. ATC artists employ many of the
crafting techniques used by scrapbook enthusiasts, such as using rubber
stamps, stickers, cutouts and other embellishing techniques and materials.
