While the clothespin was
initially created as a way for people to hang wet laundry on a clothesline,
the clothespin has since become the most versatile of craft materials.
The old-fashioned wooden peg clothespin might be shaped with a round head,
or flattened sides. Here are some craft projects made with one or more
wooded peg clothespins.

A reindeer ornament can be made by piecing together two
peg clothespins, or three.
The funny clothespin people were made by my nephews. As you can see, one
lost its wiggly eye.

My great-aunt Helen made these two clothespin ladies, the
washwoman and the bride.
The fun thing about making a clothespin doll, you are only limited by your
imagination,
as it takes just scraps of material to fashion a stylish clothespin doll.
The skier ornament pictured below, was one I bought when
I was first married,
over 30 years ago. I love how the crafter put together the skier using a
clothespin,
wooden ice cream sticks and wooden spears. Too cute!
