While a traditional Valentine
Box is typically a box used by children to place their incoming Valentine’s
Day cards, I made this box more as a sweetheart Valentine’s Day box, a
treasure box for someone special. In the box, place special treats, such as
scented candles or chocolates.
Originally, the container was a See’s Candy box. As you can see, it has been
totally been revamped, by coving it with fabric, paper and embellishments,
using decoupage.
Pictured below the Valentine Sweetheart Box are homemade Valentine’s Day
cards, made from recycled Valentine’s Day cards. A brown paper sack provided
embellishment for one card and paper for an envelope. A potato stamp was
used to add painted hearts to both projects.
